Attention: The enrollment deadline for students admitted to the Foundation Course in Economics and Management has been extended to January 30th.

International students wishing to enrol in the Foundation Course must submit their pre-application through the on-line application platform:

 

Accepted students receive an email with the subsequent steps they have to complete to enroll in the Foundation Course.

For the 2025-26 edition, the steps and deadlines are:

  1. VISA application
    Non-EU students residing outside Italy, need to apply for a study VISA. The acceptance email lists the steps to take to obtain it. Further information on study visas is available at the following pages:

    Attention: The deadline to submit the application on the Universitaly portal is August 1, 2025. The University of Siena will not process applications submitted after this date.

  2. Final enrollment (before arriving in Siena)
    The next step is enrollment in the Foundation Course.

    Attention: Non-EU students residing outside Italy are allowed to proceed with enrollment only after receiving their visa.

    For the final enrollment, you will need the following documents:

    Once you have the final documents, please

    send them to the email address:
    documents.admission@unisi.it
    specifying in the email subject “Enrollment Documents for the Foundation Course”. Our offices will check your documents and will send you a link to complete your enrollment before arriving in Siena.

    Attention: The enrollment deadline is November 28, 2025. Late enrollment is still possible until January 12, 2026, by paying an additional late enrollment fee of 100 euros per week (applied at the end of each Friday), to cover catch-up classes and personalized tutoring. No enrollment applications will be accepted after January 12, 2026, regardless of preliminary acceptance or having obtained a visa. Delays in obtaining a visa will not be accepted as a reason for registration after this date. Our offices will exclusively process the enrollments of students who have submitted all the necessary documentation by 14:00 on January 12, 2026 (Italian time).

  3. Note: Enrollment is completed by paying the enrollment fees of 3,500 euros (+16.00 euros stamp duty) in a single non-refundable installment by the enrollment deadline, plus 100 euros per week of late enrollment, also non-refundable. The procedure to pay the fee will be communicated by our offices after having received your final enrollment documents.

  4. Once you have arrived in Siena
    Upon arrival in Siena, students have to report to the Student Office of the School of Economics and Managment, booking an appointment through the Ufirst App.
    Classes start on November 24, 2025. The timetable of classes will be available in October 2025 and will be published on the Lesson timetable page of the School of Economics and Management website.
    Class attendance is mandatory to the extent of at least 75%. Those who do not meet this requirement will not be admitted to course examinations.
